I was thrilled when a Whole Foods opened so nearby, saving me a 20 minute drive to the nearest store. Whole Foods quality has always been worth the drive for me above all for the best produce. Sadly, the Stamford Whole Foods is the worst Whole Foods I've been to. I avoid buying produce there because it is often spoiling or low quality that we throw it away. I have purchased deli meat from the deli counter that is spoiled. Moldy cheese from the cheese counter. The hot bar has made us sick on more than one occasion. The list goes on. I mostly buy packaged items only from this store. It's such a disappointment. The stores have always been the best. What happened? Please make the necessary improvements. We want to be loyal customers. Update: Just yesterday my husband bought a loaf of packaged bread marked 50% off. Opened it today and nearly all of it had mold.

This location is such a disappointment. And it’s a bummer because it’s relatively new and it’s in a pretty good location. It’s huge so walking in you would think that they have everything but the truth of it is they rarely have the items that you need in stock. The produce section is consistently understocked or out of stock. The cooler sections have been broken for at least 2 to 3 months now. Before that the egg section were broken and they didn’t have any eggs. It’s just always something with this store. I consistently question just driving to the Greenwich or Darien locations because they will have what you need. The employees are nice though and the Amazon stand makes quick work of returns.

Reasonable price. Clean. Older. I had a room with a balcony and the wood definitely needs repair.

Why are unwrapped bread loaves just left in the open? I saw one customer pick up a loaf with a bare hand and then put it BACK to choose another 🤢 Another sneezed nearby! Usual blue gloves nowhere in sight. You may call it "organic germ-enhanced" and double the price but I passed on buying any! Never seen this health hazard at any other Whole Foods in the area. Please end this ASAP.

This Whole Foods feels spacious, modern and extremely clean. Selection is good and I believe they are still working on their selection to offer even more local products like the other spots. Staff is polite, and I believe there could be a bit more of an improvement there as our cashier barely acknowledged us but still said thank you. I appreciate the lighting and selection. I also was curious and checked the Bonne Maman jam price, which was not absurd like the other review below, but 6$ like everywhere else in the area. This spot if better than the Greenwich one so far, just the staff could use more warmth but it’s the start!
